CHICAGO WHISPERS

With the recent demise of Dick Beebe’s MARC Times Racing News, I found I had no where to send my Chicago Whispers columns to.  Taking the liberty of using “Whispers” in the title of my column, Wayne Adams’ Midwest Whispers columns use to appear in issues of the old Illustrated Speedway News racing paper from the 1940’s until that paper went out of business in the 1980’s.  Back in the early 60’s, I use to buy the paper at Raceway Park and eventually subscribed to it, waiting each week for the paper to arrive in the mail in order to read Wayne ’s column.  Definitely some good stuff there!  As the season goes on, I’ll try and post a new Chicago Whispers column here each week, hopefully on Mondays.
