Probably the two best ever in Chicago area racing to hold a microphone, Wayne Adams (left) and Jan Gabriel pose for a picture at the annual Chicagoland Auto Racing Memorabilia and Collectibles Show at the Chicagoland Speedway (Joliet) in 2008.  For over 40 years, Adams was the announcer at Blue Island's Raceway Park with Gabriel handling the microphone chores at Santa Fe Speedway near Willow Springs.  Gabriel passed away on January 10, 2010.
