This photo was taken circa 1951 at the Waukegan Speedway. It is a staged photo; the guy on the ground is perfectly fine. The Peterson Funeral Home ambulance stood by on race nights into the late 50s. The ambulance driver/attendant is Hank Odom; Bill Shoulders also drove for Peterson in that time frame.
