a former three-time modified titlist at Shadyhill. Always a front runner,
Bitterling won back to back UMP titles in 2005 and 2006.

Young Nick Allen of
Wheatfield, Ind. claimed a couple of "big races" at Shadyhill in 2008. On the
Fourth of July, Allen won the $3,000-to-win Firecracker 50 and topped off the
year by claiming top honors in the $1,000-to-win Race of Champions on September
27.

Veteran Bill Davis (#71)
of Chesterton, Ind. is still running strong at Shadyhill, claiming one feature
win in 2008. Davis' racing career dates back to the "old coupe" days at the
Broadway Speedway in Crown Point, Ind.

Charles "Bub" Patrick (#25) claimed top
honors in United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) opne-hweel modified action at
Shadyhill in 2008. Patrick is a veteran at the Medaryville dirt oval, having
won his first modified title in 1994 and a couple of hobby stock championships
prior to that.
