Red Duvall poses next to his trusty Packard No. 87 at 87th Street Speedway in Chicago in the early 1950's.  The Hammond speedster was a front runner at area tracks and even tried his skills in USAC stock car racing with success.

Red DuVall topped a strong field of late model stock car competitors, winning the Short Track Auto Racers (STAR)-sanctioned 100-lap feature race at Blue Island’s Raceway Park on May 27, 1959.  DuVall receives his trophy from an unidentified presenter while the headman of the STAR organization, Frank “Ham” Lobaza (right) oversees things.
