Ben "Shorty" Michonski ready for O'Hare's Cadet (Hobby) stock car action.  Michonski was a regular at O'Hare, dating back to the first race there in 1956.  He also raced at Soldier Field.

Former O'Hare champion and NASCAR star Fred Lorenzen visited the speedway in 1963.  He is joined in the picutre by speedway official Frank "Ham" Lobaza and track promoter Tex Wooten.  "Fearless Freddie" won the O'Hare title in 1958 (Bob Brown Photo)
